Black History Month 2017

The Plainfield Public School District invites the public to the month long celebration of Black History Month.

All the events will be held at Plainfield High School, 950 Park Ave., and include poetry, fashion, student performances, vendors and a food extravaganza and food-tasting event. The celebrations are free and open to the public.

  • Spoken Word & Fashion Show: 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3;

  • Poetry Jam: 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8;

  • Movie Night, "Selma": 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15;

  • Black History Month Celebration: 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24.
