Evaluation: Plain, Simple, and Effective
Why do visitors come to your museum?
What excites (or disappoints) them about your new exhibit?
Do they find your institution important in their lives? Why? Why not?
Wouldn’t you love to know the answers to these questions?
Imagine what it would mean to your museum to find ways to ask these question and build a conversation with your visitors.
This workshop on visitor evaluation will provide you with a wealth of ideas for integrating useful evaluation into all you are currently doing. Evaluation need not be daunting or left to the experts. Every museum can find ways to strengthen its effectiveness by listening to the voices of their visitors.
Led by Beverly Sheppard, former director of the Institute for Learning Innovation, this participatory workshop will introduce the basics of evaluation and will incorporate numerous examples of practical evaluation techniques.
This introductory workshop is the first part of a two-part series. The second part will be offered as a learning lab in the summer of 2017 and will provide registrants with an opportunity to learn, in greater detail, how to apply the concepts learned in the introductory workshop.
Your registration ticket covers the cost of breakfast and lunch. Please note that you will be charged additional fees of $2,37 for your registration through Eventbrite.
