2018-19 registration. The aim of the Plainfield Aquatic Club (PAC) is to expose children to teamwork, dedication, and the importance of setting and working towards the completion of goals through participation in competitive swimming. The program is open to swimmers between the ages of 6 to 17. Participants practice Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Plainfield High School. The season begins October 2018.
PAC was originally founded in 2005 as a tool to augment the skills of swimmers involved with the Plainfield Middle and High School teams. The program has expanded to include swimmers between the ages of 6 – 10 and children outside the Greater Plainfield area. In the 11 years of our existence, over 200 swimmers have been a part of the program. Participants will receive conditioning and technical training in all four strokes, turns, and starts. From fall to spring, swimmers will compete in USA Swim Meets, the Metro Swim League as well as have opportunity to compete in Regional and National swim meets. In the summer, the team participates in an 8 week stroke and turn clinic.
