October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. With Muslim women experiencing domestic violence at almost the same rates of the U.S. average, we need to talk about this reality and how it is impacting our families, children and our communities.
What is Domestic Violence?
Does the Quran instruct men to "beat" women?
How did our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) treat women?
We will explore these questions, discuss warning signs and provide resources and strategies to help victims and perpetrators of this violent act.
Please join us in support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and in support of all the victims and survivors of this oppressive act.
