Georgia O’Keeffe was best known for her paintings of enlarged flowers, New York skyscrapers, and New Mexico landscapes. For me, it was her flowers. I will never forget the first time I saw one of her images and the impact it made on me. Growing up in rural Arkansas I was surrounded by nature but I had never taken such a close look at any of it.
This show will brighten the cold, dark days of January and hopefully the spirit of everyone who sees it.
“Selfie – Reimaginged”, Hob’art members’ exhibition at the Watchung Arts Center
hob’art co-operative gallery members from Hoboken, NJ will be mounting our show, Selfie - Reimagined.
We will be showing works in a variety of mediums that deal with the ubiquitous aspect of selfies. Taken using cell phone people create images of themselves at various occasions.
Be prepared for a visually stimulating, amusing and vibrant show that challenges our assumptions and visual stereotypes.
