“What Clay Can Be” Showcased at Watchung Arts Center
March 20, 2019 (Watchung, NJ) – The Watchung Arts Center is excited to announce the April Exhibition "What Clay Can Be: A Ceramics Exhibit" in the Lower Gallery. Come celebrate the visual beauty along with the imaginative wonders of clay with light refreshments at the artist’s reception held on Sunday, April 7 from 1 - 4 PM. The exhibit will be on display from April 6 through April 28. The reception and exhibition is free of charge and open to public.
Clay is an elemental substance - so ordinary that we ignore it even as we stand upon it. Yet it is a flexible medium that can bend to the inspiration of the potter and produce works of thought and power that give the artist wide latitude in expression. Come see what selected Ceramic Artists make of this humble material, infusing it with life and meaning in various and unique forms.
