Westry Horne Cultural and Heritage Series
presents a film in the making on
The 1967 Plainfield Rebellion
Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 1 to 4 pm
at the Clinton Elementary School Cafetorium, 1302 W. 4th St. Plainfield, NJ 07060.
The film project is directed by award winning filmmaker and Plainfield
H.S graduate Alrick Brown. Alrick says that: “this project is not a
complete film yet. The hope is, as we show this to the people of
Plainfield, others will come forward who were there to offer their
prospective on the events during that turbulent time and become part
of the final film”.
During the summer of 1967, a riot/rebellion broke
out in Newark and many were killed. During that same week, another
rebellion broke out in Plainfield with only one fatality.

Come out and see some perspectives and to share some of your own.
